The Pacific STEP-UP Program officially opened its training lab in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands in February 2012. Located on the Northern Marianas College campus, this research training lab offers student interns of the Northern Mariana Islands a place to conduct molecular biology research. The laboratory facility provides all of the essential equipment, materials and resources that are required to complete a research project. Research mentors guide interns as to the efficient usage, proper disposal, and safety procedures of the laboratory.
REPUBLIC OF PALAU
Located at Palau Community College
The Pacific STEP-UP Program officially opened its training laboratory in the Republic of Palau in January 2014. Located on the grounds of Palau Community College, this research training lab offers students a facility to conduct molecular research and gain hands-on laboratory experiences. The laboratory is fully equipped with all of the essential equipment, materials and resources that are required to complete a research project. Research mentors guide the students as to proper use of laboratory equipment and supplies in addition to proper disposal of waste and safety procedures.
REPUBLIC OF THE MARSHALL ISLANDS
Located at College of the Marshall Islands
The Pacific STEP-UP Program officially opened its training lab in the Republic of the Marshall Islands in May 2012. A presentation of lab coats to inaugural STEP-UP interns was done during the opening ceremony or the laboratory. Located on the College of the Marshall Islands campus, this research training lab provides student interns a facility to conduct molecular research. FEDERATED STATES OF MICRONESIA
Located at College of Micronesia - FSM
The Pacific STEP-UP Program officially opened its training lab in the Federated States of Micronesia in April 2013. A presentation of lab coats to inaugural STEP-UP interns was done during the opening ceremony of the laboratory. Located on the College of Micronesia – FSM campus, this research training lab offers students in the Federated States os Micronesia a place to conduct molecular biology research. The laboratory facility provides all of the essential equipment, materials and resources that are required to complete a research project. Research mentors guide interns as to the efficient usage, proper disposal, and safety procedures of the laboratory.
